Security

As a result of 9/11 and other global unrest, the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) of 2004 has changed the security culture of the maritime industry.  Its intent was to protect the U.S. maritime industry and commerce by preventing a Serious Maritime Incident.

Similar to the Response plans for oil spills, the MTSA requires certain facilities and vessels to prepare for acts of ill will against their asset.  Once developed and approved, the operator must conduct drills and annual audits and exercises.

We can help you develop a security plan that meets your operational needs, as well as conduct the annual audit and exercises that are required by the USCG.
